Anna Vissi is back for good! Her new song and music video are already released, entitled "To parelthon mou" (My past) and is included in the OST of the new comedy film of Village "Bank Bang". Anna talked to our partner-sites Love Radio 97.5 and Mad.tv about her future plans and her much anticipated comeback in Greece.
Her new album will be out around December 5th, while the title has not yet been chosen. There will be many surprises - Yiannis Kifonidis has written three songs (on lyrics of Yiorgos Mitsigkas and Valia Kalaidji); three more songs were composed by Yiannis Hristodoulopoulos, while Patrick Leonard (La isla bonita, Like a prayer, Frozen) has also writen three songs for her. She even wrote music for one song ("Apo makria ki agapimenoi" / "Separated and beloved"), which is influenced by Nicos Karvelas's music.
She described her album as a "women's affair", since well-known Greek lyricists penned all the songs, apart from one: Mirto Kontova and Eleana Vrahali. Some song titles she revealed: Apo makria ki agapimenoi (Separated and beloved), Risko (Risk), An se erotefto (If I fall in love with you), Kontra (Against each other), Metallo (Metal). Metallo is a cover of a Luz Cazal song, while Kontra the cover of Dan Wilson's song Breathless and An se erotefto the Greek version of "That's what love can do", composed by Glen Ballard and Christina Aguilera.
There will also be a remake of a famous old Greek song, mixed by DJ Mateo, while there's still a possibility for a duet with a renowned artist. 14 songs will be included in the new album, while soon the two first singles will be released - Anna is currently working on the photos and the next videoclip. The album was produced in Los Angeles by Greg Ladanyi (Grammy Award-winning) and Anna herself, Patrick Leonard, Glen Ballard and Dave Stewart, who also took many pictures of Anna at Malibu beach, which will probably be included in the booklet of the album.
The Greek diva will start her live appearances in Athens Arena on early February, with the band of C-Real, followed by that of Blue, while there will also be a guest appearance of Dan Wilson. Peter Young and Mia Michaels (Emmy Award-winning) will once more be with her.
