Pripremana četiri godine, Hidden from History je zbirka od 29 članka zamišljenih da popune praznine u istoriji homoseksualnosti kako muške tako i ženske. Budući da je homoseksualnost do nedavno bila prenebregavana, čak i gušena, kao područje za legitimno ispitivanje, priređivači su u svojim odabranim radovima načinili svestan napor kako bi pružili široku prostornu i vremensku perspektivu. Ostale teme kojima se ova knjiga bavi sadrže argumente o manifestaciji homoseksualnog u istoriji, neki se fokusirajući na rani XVIII vek, a neki na kraj XIX veka, homoseksualnosti kako u industrijskim, tako i u neindustrijskim društvima i proučavanju homoseksualnosti na mestima kao što su južnoafricki rudnici zlata, u lezbejskim zajednicama u Buffalu, New Yorku, San Franciscu i Cubi.
