Serbia’s first gay stand-up comedy night will take place in Belgrade on September 3 as part of the Pride 2026 program, the organizers have announced.

The show, whose title cheekily reclaims a local anti-gay slur, features four comedians: Teo, Lena, Miloš and Ivan. Teodor Pejčić, the host and creator of the evening, came up with the idea.

“There are only four of us, we still haven’t covered all the letters of LGBTQ+. We’re especially looking for someone to solve the ‘plus’,” Pejčić joked.

“We are very excited to be pushing the boundaries of comedy and of queer rights in Serbia. Humor is the best defense when we face problems, whatever your gender or sexual orientation,” the organizers said.

The plan, they add, is for many more gay comedians to perform next year, and for the night to eventually grow into a stand-alone festival. And no, you don’t have to be gay to enjoy it: everyone is welcome.

The Belgrade Pride march takes place on September 5, with Pride Week bringing a series of cultural and entertainment events.
