The association Da se zna!, one of the organisers of this year's Belgrade Pride, will again take its Pride Caravan across the country — with Pride protests in Vranje, Pirot, Zaječar, Kraljevo, Šabac and Loznica.
The slogan of this year's Belgrade Pride, traditionally held in September, is “There is room for all of us” — the same slogan as Belgrade's first Pride in 2001, exactly 25 years ago. With it, the organisers say, they want to stress that only a society with room for LGBT+ people, people with disabilities, people of other faiths and nationalities, and every minority group can be a society of democracy, progress and freedom.
The Pride Caravan will travel under the same slogan, visiting six smaller cities where life for LGBT+ people is often far harder than in the bigger centres.
In these cities, the organisers say, they will carry the message that everywhere — in every city, every town, every square, every protest — there must be room for LGBT+ people.
“The LGBT+ community is an integral and inseparable part of this society, and our questions and problems should concern all our fellow citizens, because only a society in solidarity is a free society,” the organisers said.
